LOVE HATE THEORY BIOGRAPHY
Formed in late 2006 out of New York, Love Hate theory is the vision of 4 guys who want to not only make their mark in music, but to trample the weak and count the dead. LHT have been scratching and clawing their way out of N.Y.C , tri-state club scene with their energy packed shows and uncompromising sound and attitude. Playing clubs and small venues up and down the east coast the band has had many sit up and take notice. Opening for national acts or just coming into an area and taking over, the band always gets the job done. . LHT has Been compared to some big names in the industry such as Anthrax (with bush), Disturbed, Godsmack, and System of a Down...just to name a few but the band definitely has a sound of their own.
Love Hate Theory’s EP: "Our time" is the first offering from the band. The 5 song debut CD is a collection of songs the boys have been playing at all their shows, These were chosen because of the best response from the crowds. Vocalist Tony started the band with drummer T-Bert. While looking for members, he asked his brother Mike Puch to come down and sit in. When they needed a guitar player T-Bert said what about my nephew Vinnny, the 4 members solidified and there was no stopping themn now.
Love hate theory is:
Tony Puch lead vocals...Tony Got the music bug early in life. He got his first drum set at age 7 and played drums till he was 17. When some friends from high school needed a front man for a show, Tony jumped right in and hasn’t looked back since. Besides singing Tony also rides motocross and ATVs, and loves hanging at the beach.
Vin guitar & vocals...born in new york, started playing guitar at 12 but did not get serious until high school. Vin's influenced by all styles of music. There is nothing else he would rather do than sit back, smoke a fatty, write music and kick the shit out of LHT’s songs on stage.
T-Bert drums...was born in a New York City housing project (and it isn’t so easy to play drums in one!) Somehow, he found a way to play as much as he could. His influences range from Beatles to hardcore. T-Bert always stressed originality in what he plays and what he writes, and he’s happy to be playing with Love Hate Theory...(which, by the way, he claims he formed.)
and Mike Puch, bassist has been playing bass since he was 12. Influenced as a kid after seeing Gene Simmons of KISS and at the early age of 13, he then got see his sister's boyfriend's band open up for Brooklyn’s own Carnivore (“god is dead“) at L’amour. He didn’t get to see the show, only the sound check, but he got to meet Pete and Keith who at the time were giants to him. Mike has never been the same. At age 17 he got to play with a lot of the bands he listened to as a kid by playing bass for NY underground thrash metal legends, SAVAGE THRUST. Opening for bands like Anthrax, Exodus, & Overkill (just to name a few) Mike played all the big clubs up and down the east coast and outside the USA as well. He takes that experience to the stage with Love Hate Theory. Besides playing bass, Puch plays ice hockey, football, snowboards, and enjoys teasing small children and watching people run for there lives...
